Department of
Electronics & Communication Engineering
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The department of Electronics & Communication Engineering was established in the year 2008 with initial intake of 60 students. Within a short span of time, seeing infrastructure available and capabilities of faculties of the SVS group, intake has been enhanced to 120. The undergraduate and post graduate programmers of the department of Electronics and Communication impart solid technical background and research capabilities among the students which help them to excel in their respective fields. It has an array of courses for students to choose and study such as power electronics, information technology, electronic hardware and software, automation, robotics and control, communications, radio and television, computer engineering, solid – state devices, microelectronics, VLSI and other circuits & systems used in varying application ranging from simple circuits to sophisticated digital satellite systems, GSM & CDMA technology, speech processing & computer development.
We put all our efforts to make our students to compete internationally and to produce creative solutions to society’s needs, universal moral values, adherent to professional ethical code, and to generate any knowledge and technologies essential to the local and global needs in the field of Electronics & Communication.
The quality teaching and guidance by highly qualified and experienced faculty members has produced several rank holders in JNTUH examinations in a very short time. The regular interaction between students and faculty helps student to apply the theoretical knowledge to real life situations. Moreover, the faculty members organize special sessions for topics such as power electronics, communication, control system, networking etc. that assures their placement in renowned multinational companies.

Vision of the Department:

To be a center of excellence in Electronics and Communication Engineering focusing on high quality technical education, research skills with creative solutions and technical services with global competence to succeed in employment and higher education having ethical, social and entrepreneurial aspects with lifelong learning to cater the needs of the stake holders with multi-disciplinary approach.

Mission of the Department:

M1: To Develop and deliver Quality academic programmed in Emerging and innovative field of Engineering to empower the students to meet Industry Standards.

M2: To build student community with high ethical standards to undertake R&D in thrust areas of national and international needs

M3: To create Centre of Excellence by establishing the incubation centers to meet global research challenges.
